Okay today was pretty interesting.
Now let me list down some quotes before I forget them... :D
********
Richard Ng: Kenneth can you lend me some rough paper. I need to do working.
Kenneth Lim: How rough you want?
********
"To Kill A Mockingbird" anagrams to "Kirk Do Climbing A lot"! xD
Sorry Kirk :D
Haha. And I pointed out Human History was pleonasm. Actually Shaun Thium did, but he wasn't sure. Lols. Quite interesting actually, once you realize that history is still a human based content subject only. Rhetorical devices whooooo~! Haha.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY: THE RETURN OF ERNEST! Omg. Lol. Ernest is my sec 1 classmate who migrated to HK. He just came back for the hols first time in 2 years. Lol. First thing Terence and Zac said to him was wtf did you do to your hair. His hair is completely past his ear. D: that made me mistake him for a girl at first xD KEWL! And he got an accent. American, pretty ironic. xD Well he studies at an international school lah. Lol. As tall as me now, and probably same size as fei O: lol but Ernest if you ever read this COME BACK TO SG AND GET RID OF THAT WEEERD ACCENT! xD Haha we all miss you. Cal's expression when he saw Ernest was damn funny. The big open mouth. Hilarious xD
Yep. And chinese book test today was a piece of cake. Things to look forward tmr... TITRATION! Ok obviously I'm going to screw it up like all other practicals. Despite studying so hard for my physics optics prac I still got 8/15. Whee. D: I HATE PRACTICALS! I haven't gotten above 60% for any practical this year. Which is crap.
Ahh well. Good luck to everyone at WALA! :D
And gratz to Spain who beat Germany. Torres was fabulous. (This is put here to boost Shaun Choo's ego, haha). xD
Rightz. Byes :D

SIAN. NOOOOOO.
WE GOT THIRD. Well ok not me but the Team got 3rd.
Ian lost 2 games while Chew lost 1 D:
Haiz.
It's damn sad. We were top all the way until the final round, where we played against 2nd placing Yishun Town Sec. We won 3-2, but had a negative spread. Which effectively killed us. So, guess what. While both the top 2 seeded teams killed each other, some RI sec 4 team won a noob team 5 - 0 and got champion. Wtf. That's damn sad. Not to mention Victoria Sec who also 5 - 0ed to achieve 2nd. Thus we got 3rd. But Yishun Town Sec is even sadder. They only got a merit... Haiz. This competition sucks. I'm quite sure the sec 4 team can't even win Yishun Town. Which means they don't exactly deserve to win the competition.
But I think many congratulations to be given lah. To the sec 4 team who kinda KSed the champion placing, and of course our team who got 3rd. Especially Ian, who took part for the first time in this competition and voluntarily played against liki and got owned by 300+ points. Wth. Lol. But nvm. Although you could have done better by learning 3s and 4s instead of trying for bingoes. And challenging appropriately like I told you last night. Sigh. And of course, kudos to the Yishun Town Sec team for putting up a good fight against us.
Matthew spotted something nice... The final play which was the decider move, he had EIIRST? rack. If he bingoed he wins, or else the YTSS guy wins. He had a M opening, but it had to be the first letter. Mattie won by playing MISWRITE which is valid. But he didn't spot MINISTER which Hongen spotted. I somehow spotted both. But actually Mattie spotted MIRKIEST, which was valid. I spotted MIRLIEST also, but I wasn't sure of it's validity. Ok. In the end, these were the words that were valid:
MINISTER
MISWRITE
MIRLIEST
MIRKIEST
MISINTER
METRITIS
MERISTIC
Lol. So spotted 3/7 AHHH IM N00B D:
Okay. Apart from that nothing much. Read the Chinese book... was quite meaningful and interesting. Haha yepps (:
So once again gratz to MATTIE CHEW WZY ADIL IAN for getting third. Lol. GOGOGO haha nats in two weeks work harder! :D
P.S. You guys can go for WYSC this year if there are enough slots! :D Heheh

LOL. I beat Biquan I hit 150 posts! xD
Ok nvm. That was uber random. Today I read the chinese book. And labelled the pages. Somehow... I'm still on page 14. T_T lols. Sian.
Nope. No going out today. But I beat quackle a couple of times out of 5. Which is quite good. Coz usually it's one in a thousand, heheh xD.
I'm wondering now whether I should just quit school altogether.
I have many plans to do, but I realize that school somehow gets in my way. And all my overseas contacts are diminishing in numbers after they've graduated. I feel restrained. But I know that it is to keep me going on the "right track". I don't want myself to be shortchanged of anything in preparation for real life, but is it worth it when I have a bunch of opportunities right now? I've always contemplated on the balance between personal activities and school life, but the education system is muscling in too much. And mostly unnecessary pressure on top of that. It's things like these that make me feel that I'm ashamed to be an RI student. So what if we're elite? At the end of the day we're just going to get out there and survive like everyone else. And probably more hated for being elite. It's the misconception of being of a higher social status = more happy. Being higher up = more responsibilities.
I realize what paths there are for me through this education. But many of us are deluded by the shortsightedness of ourselves. We can't see the leading technology of the future. Instead, we decide to become a jack of all trades. Does that really help? How can we compare to those from other countries who focus so hard on one option and succeed?
Lol. I think I just typed an entire passage of total crap. It's not even organized from a third person's POV. But well, basically I'm just questioning why the pressure from educational system. It's unreasonable as well as faulty.
So. Life is educational. Isn't it.
Btw good luck for tmr's scrabble finals! Mattie Chew Wzy Adil Ian. Make the school and yourselves proud by winning it again tmr. :D

My mom is a ______.
Lols. I have no idea why she complains about everything I do when she does exactly the same thing after that. Talk about self own without shame. Saying like she's older and wiser doesn't cut it. She seriously has to keep her temper in check. I haven't flared at her for the past 15 years, so I'm probably going to keep mine in check as well.
Anyway. Today. During recess me and Davin went to play the piano at the design centre. Davin totally pwnt with his kickass piano skills D: and I was playing like a n00b! Lolololol I'm like so un-imba and uncool. Haha.
Then english was FUN today :D. We learnt on the different ways of using rhetorical devices, heheh. I learnt that n00b Dinew is a pleonasm! :D and I also learnt euphemism, which is in simple terms to be politically correct. Something like if you don't want to say I am noob, you say something more polite, like: Dinew you are less talented in all areas than others. Yep. xP Then we made lots of weird ones like "good boy" is a pleonasm, Fei being and all-rounder xD okok that's more of a pun. No offence Fei! :D
Ok. Just watched the incredible hulk. Wasn't too bad. I won't pick on anything about it since I have no idea how to refute biochem with gamma ray mutations. Although I must say, it sounds extremely fishy. Overexposure kills, not just mutations. Sheesh. But yep was entertaining enough.
Yay. Ok that's all. Bye bye! (Pleonasm! D:)

History project solo (editorial!) because Davin ran out of ideas (but he's imba! xD) and anyway, he did a template of the indiv part for me. So yay it's quite good. Then Sean damn sean. D: seanz. xD Crap lah I think my newspaper looks more like an essay. Haiz. But if Eric Koh wants facts he gets it. In full blast. Whee :D
Screw lah. No time to post about today. Not an interesting day except for playing scrabble. Mattie and Chew played against each other, Chew win 1 - 0. I play 3 games with Chew win 2 - 1. Lol. Chew imba. D:

Well. Today was the first day of school.
Considering that I slept only 3 hours last night, I must say it was a miracle I didn't fall asleep (even though I had concentration lapses, lol). I couldn't sleep from 11 - 3, whut. D: 4 hours wasted lying on the bed and doing absolutely nothing. Sianz.
Ok. So basically, today school was per normal. "What's on this week" seems absolutely nostalgic and hilarious. Feels like I'm actually anticipating the next week's one. Lol. The little happiness of school life xD. First period was PE, where we played volleyball. Lol. I think I completely screwed my left wrist with a bruise. Apart from that I think I can play fine. Well not as imba as Chew but uhm, can control where the ball goes lah. xD Haha.
Math... D: we got some weird teacher. Haha. But doesn't matter seems like his standards are high we should be doing fine for math this year then.
History. Got back galileo essay, and turns out I got 15/20 (3rd highest mark in class, 6th-7th position). I have no idea what the hell is L6. Apparently it was a last minute addition. Then Ken Min hit L6 17/20. Lols. Nvm I'm ahead of Kiawei and Yuet choong now (hopefully!).
SS was just plain. Uhm. Concentration lapse. Lol.
Chinese was weird. We hand up the duzhe, then got back our chinese zhuantizuoye results. I got 70/100. Shaun Choo got 76 D: Wah imba lah. Then did some cloze passage, which somehow I PASSED. LOL. For the first time in my entire life D: 12/20. Haha. Then Roys, Davin, Yuet Choong and BRYCE got 16. D: Argh. Lols nvm. Then I ask Hongen what he got he said 20. -_-" My life instantly went emo mode again. Ahhhh D:
English was fun, telling stories and watching Obama and Clinton going thankyouverymuch for the first 2 minutes of their speeches or so. xD was laughing so hard. Clinton was obviously trying to speak but the crowd wouldn't let her. So mean xD
Ok. I think I'm very tired so I won't post anymore. Lol.

Lol. I'm proud to say I've blogged everyday since the start of the hols. xD I'm such a no-lifer D:
Ok. Last day of holiday. Work - mostly finished.
Half-dones: Physics project (Shaun choo's part final), History project (Davin doing 2nd half, Sean useless), Math (I'm soloing because Fei's in china, not his fault), Chem, Math and Bio ws (both half done because I'm too lazy to finish D:).
Finished: Eng blog, Physics indiv project, physics ws, Duzhe x2, RE! ><.
Undone: ERP, CLE poster, SS essay on democracy.
I'd say I have been slacking for the hols. Now it actually seems like all the stuff can be finished in a week T_T.
But then again, everyone's smarter and more organized on hindsight. Let's reflect for the holidays.
For the holidays, I have...
-Completed more work than I have before the hols xD
-Gained more knowledge on lots of stuff
-Won a trophy for astrochallenge
-Changed my opinion of religion as a whole
-Had weird premonitions over the start of school
-Played the piano! :D
-Played tennis and squash
-Got to know some people better and made less enemies (the i'm sorry thing, remember?) xD
Haha yeah. So overall it was a relatively peaceful and quiet holiday from me. D: originally thought there was at least a class outing but well I guess circumstances don't allow it, so yeah. But I should learn to chill and go out sometimes. D:
Okay. Another freaky dream last night. I dreamt that RG and RI merged schools somehow. Some test on whether a co-ed school will be good or not. D: And somehow the girls were like, against the boys on everything. Then when I refused to take sides I got pwnt by both sides and was left alone. Lol. I'm such an emo kid even in my dream D:
Today was boring. No kick.
Yeah. Doing my math project (the solo one) now. Somehow the holidays seemed to have passed like a dream. I'll have to work harder for the new term! RAWR.
On a second note. Nats is in what, two weeks? >< Damn. Better start remembering wordlists. Lol.
Bye and good luck to everyone for the new term! (:

LIKE OMGEE :D today I did uhm. Only one piece of homework D:
Ok. Morning woke up at 6.30. Then fell asleep. Woke up at 8.30. Then fell asleep. Then eventually forced myself out of bed at 11. D: Started doing duzhe, then eat lunch, then did abit of maths before going to play tennis with mattie teh imba! xD Sheesh at first we were going to play ping pong, then on the way down we were playing ping pong off the walls and whack the ball here and there. Then somehow I hit it into a part of the ceiling then it got lodged there. D: and then we went back to his house, only to find that that was his last ping pong ball! Lols. So yeah then we went to play tennis.
(BTW MATTIE I JUST REALIZED YOUR PING PONG BAT IS STILL WITH ME D: SORRY!)
Ok. So. Tennis. I still can keep at my service aces, but I keep hitting the net. Like 1/2 balls go over when I'm in top form, 1/10 balls when I'm tired (which I usually am, seeing I've not done much exercise over the past few weeks. Curse you homework! D:<) then mattie was imba in his playing as usual. He keeps hitting nice backhand shots which I'm like super weak against. Rawr. Then his father came and played also. Mattie so imba D: he could take his father's serves I think I returned only 3 out of 20+ serves. Crap. And my serves were... weaker D: but nvm. Yay at least I did 1 1/2 hours of exercise (finally!). Haha.
Right. Came home, had dinner, then watched Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull. The show was more fantasy than sci-fi. Seriously. Ok. First, the factual problems. Siafu ants aren't so big, and they don't travel at more than 20m per hour. Siafu ants are also NOT native to Peru. The closest thing that matches their traits apparently are the red imported fire ants which ARE native to peru. Secondly. Surviving the waterfall without an injury in 5 people was some OMGWTFBBQ miracle. Especially in one scene where the floatable "jeep" is above some guy when falling. Getting crushed under it may have been highly possible. Third. To survive in a lead-lined refrigerator against a nuclear weapon is as possible as asking Hongen and mattie not to be imba. D: I think that goes into negative numbers. Haha. We should all be having lead-lined refrigerators in our houses to prepare for a nuclear holocaust then, right? xD Lastly. I have no idea how information will make your brain literally blow up. Ok. Maybe that's uhm, imba science which we'll never know until a few centuries later.
All in all, it was a good show, but the plot was complicated and a bit too fast paced. Heheh. Not too bad.
Right. Last two days of hols. AHHHHH D:

Ok. Today I finally got out and did abit of walking.
I walked to Kush's house to get a copy of duzhe, and then walked back. D:
First thing in the morning. Woke up at 11, having slept at 2 last night. Thought I was late for school, then realized there was no school and laid down. Then realizing RGS has school today. Mwahahahaha xP ok sorry i'm joking. I didn't laugh. D:
Haha. Apart from that, I played the piano for 1 hr OMG what. xD played Jay Chou's "secret", managed to learn the first two pages D: yay! (there are 4 pages btw) but the playing is still a-bit crooked. Nvm. Will practice haha.
Math and physics today. It's a wonder how I can spend only half an hour typing and drawing out 6 pages of graphs and words for physics and spend 6 hours on half a page of maths. D: I'm totally dumb. Argh. Math-dumb. ):
Okay. Then as like for the past 3 days, 7-10pm movie! Iron man :D haha. Yeah Iron man was great! The suit was cool. But technologically impossible, sadly. Because the reactor arc would have to have an output as much as antimatter annhilation - that's all I can come up with for such a small size. Really. And the light from the reactor arc is probably just something to make it look cool, since every ounce of energy would be needed. Yep. Science trivia haha. I was wondering why could iron man survive the frost doesn't iron like conduct heat very well. ): Stark should totally have frozen into a primitive caveman. xP

Ok mainly for RG. Lols. Anyway. Today was doing maths and history. Maths just the planning though. I'm progressing like hell slow. D: Ok.
I tried out something interesting. I just randomly put the words "I'm sorry" in my PM on MSN and guess what. 7 people suddenly told me "it's ok". 0__0 I'm like wth. Either people are making fun of me or I've offended so many people. D: omgoodness. T_T
And yeah, watched kungfu panda (google videos, not like you rich people out there going cinemas and wasting time xD) and hey, the animation is quite good! I think the storyline is very cliched though, yep. No spoilers, go watch it yourself! (since it's still in the cinemas, heh :D)

Did work the whole day, albeit being unproductive as usual. Was doing on history (Scopes monkey trial) and yep, did quite abit since it's relatively easier than the SS essay D:
Then at 6.30 went to some speechcraft workshop. 1hr... not much. Nobody I knew was there, but yeah it was quite fun. ><
Then came home and watched balls of fury. The movie. Lol. Hilarious quotes.
Old man: It is better to die like a tiger than live like a pussy.
**********
Old man: Ping pong is like an old, ugly prostitute. You try to avoid it, but keep coming back for more... because that's the only thing you can afford.

To see Kaiwen's imba piano playing, just type in "the faceless pianist" in the search box! Crap. I wish I was half as talented as them. >< I can't even read notes now. Bah.

Bah. Today was a boring day.
Just came back from a church seminar, invited by Hongen. Haha. Was something that is quite inspirational. Somehow I more or less get it that religion and science can coexist now, as long as they don't pick at each other's faults. It is always the fault of religion that clashes with the faults of science, so why touch on the faults? Benefits of religion is discipline, and benefits of science is improvement. Perhaps that is the only way technological suicidal can possibly be avoided, in fermi's paradox. Being overly indulgent in both can be suicidal though.
I came back home on a pick-up truck. On the back of it. Whee. It was damn fun. First time (yes I know I'm weird D:)I ever took a ride on a pick up truck, and it was FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. :D My hair looks damn weird now. Haha. And I had to yell trying to talk to Hongen, seeing that the wind was so loud (NO PUN INTENDED. DON'T LAUGH). The best thing was, of course, the view. We passed by the ferris wheel at around the esplanade there and it was hawt :D haha. Yay. Then the spot of the night - Mars or jupiter! (I don't know which one, but it was nice!) Uhm it was obvious it couldn't be a star since the brightness was like super bright (at least a -2 in magnitude) and it was relatively bigger than any other star in the night sky, so yepps (: was pretty pretty! x) haha. Who says you have to be at astro retreat to see stuff haha. Although I would agree the binoculars and telescopes would have been nice... ): lols. Nvm. Heh happy (: yay spotting stuff in the night sky is fun! Too bad no Orion... there was a cloud. Bleh =X
Ok. Apart from that, the rest of the day was boring. In the morning I woke up and again was a physics day. Asked Siyi how to do the physics graph for 100m sprinter, then she made me more confused since she hasn't learnt kinematics -_-" then apart from that not much lah. Shit. I'm dying of laughter.
I just went blog surfing for quizzes! And instead of koping them I just laughed at them. Haha. The funniest quizzes are definitely the playlist ones. I found the one which asks you to set a playlist, then for every question press "next" and write the title as the answer. Shit. Damn funny.
Quoted from an anonymous blog...
What will you be famous for?
[person's answer] How to save a life - the fray
xD
Omg this is hilarious. Ok. And then a quote that was extremely funny that I somehow didn't post up yesterday, during astrochallenge. Was reading up the universe for big bang on cold death when I saw this quote...
"Some say that the world will die in fire, others say in ice" - Robert

Brrr. I just found out that the top few of scitare are astro fans. Omg. Which kinda means I'll be having a hard time next year. >< I have to start learning equations or I can never do well! );
Anyway. Been reading this story called "chobits", which talks about Japan's future problem. People own stuff called persocoms, which I think you can guess stand for personal coms. They are built in the shapes of human, specifically female humans, with all the imba things that supercomputers can do and all that. I suppose most of you would get the main gist of the story now. Seeing that humans and computers are alike now, with computers possessing better looks, qualities etc, what defines human from computers? What is ethical and what is not? There are parts where the main character reads a story called "the city with no lights". Basically it's the author's way of conveying messages to the readers, but I will quote an excerpt.
"...They can do anything.
...They can be smarter than the real thing. They can be prettier than the real thing.
They are super. People made by people.
THEY can be whatever people want them to be. Whatever they dream of.
When people saw their creations, they thought their dreams had come true.
But then...
...people forgot their dreams. And in time, THEY invited people to share in a new dream...
...a dream which they can't wake up from.
But...
Is that the dream which people want?
Is that what happiness is?
...They... were created to make people happy.
...but are people truly happy being with them?
...
Is this city with no people truly happy?"
Yeah. Quite philosophical. Sigh. That's why perfection should never be achieved. We lose our dreams with perfection. And hmm. Which reminds me of drake's equation. I still think that the more advanced a civilization gets the more likely it is to self-terminate, whether it is by weapons or degenerate society. Yep. Many ethical issues to consider here.
Right. Anyway, I've been listening to this funky song since I heard it on class 95Fm. "Don't call me baby" - Madison Avenue.
On a side note, I realize I'm not posting about today's events, but there was only a trip to sungei buloh for the SWAP project for RE so yeah I shan't bother talking about how my group never went down at all except for me. Sigh.
Toodles! (:

Ahh well. Day 2 of NTU-NUS astrochallenge 2008.
We got third, team 1 got first position. RJC got 1st for their cat as well, pulling off a tyco victory. Haha. With that, it kinda was like a raffles sweep. (:
Well. The day started off with the special round for NUS-NTU. Me, Kevin Kwek, Joel Kek, Haran and Gerald were like damn sad. Because we were almost sure that cannot get into finals already... seeing how our project round and DRQ screwed up. Matters became worse when we found out that for the special round we were supposed to be playing some weird game, and we were together with BPGH's main team and NUSHS. Then we were like omg gg then started saying our goodbyes and all that (Ok maybe just me haha). It was a weird game where we had to pick places on a number board and if you hit some numbers you have to answer a question. I got knocked out in the first round. Wtf. And I can't believe I studied that question like how many times. Question was, "Type Ia supernovae leave behind a neutron star. True/false". I was about to say false then this BPGH guy prompted me to say true and I said true. Wth. Zzz. Then I was like damn pissed off with myself. ):< but nvm. Going on. Then BPGH owned for most of the game, until we were all left with two people. Kevin kwek and Joel somehow had the luck of the devil and survived all the questions and misses thrown at them (of course, I helped Kevin and Joel with most of the questions, but then again which team doesn't, tsk. The committee really should try to prevent such stuff happening). Edrei (the imba guy from BPGH) fell at the question on drake's equation, which I didn't really know. But oh well haha it was quite tyco that we managed to survive from two players all the way to the end, and winning. But then we thought it was just a 10% so not much difference. So yeah we didn't really bother about the finals.
Then in the end, we actually got into the finals -.- as the fifth team. Then we were kinda shocked like omgwtfbbq... Then kevin kwek was laughing and all that shit. Ok. So. The finals.
RI team 1, BPGH team 2, RGS team 1, BPGH team 1, RI team 2. The five teams that qualified. The first round was an indiv round. Something like the jeopardy round, except you have to answer individually. So. I went last. I picked the highest level, level 4. And got an incredibly screwed up question compared to stacey's level 4 which was like omg woahhhhh why-the-heck-is-that-a-level-4-question kind of question. Her question was to name 3 places other than mars and earth where life can exist. Zzz. Europa, Titan and... Ganymede or Callisto. The last one I was about to suggest jupiter for atmospheric beasts. Haha. Who cares. Mine was on Hubble's equation where V=H(subscript 0)D, like wth. Explain the reason why light cannot reach sth. Then I went on to ramble on stuff I knew regarding about it seeing that I have completely no idea what that equation is about. Lols. And I got 5 marks out of 25. Yay at least some marks haha.
Right. At the end of the aforementioned round, the two RI teams were last, we were fourth. Both BP teams were leading. RGS sandwiched. >< So next round, the bail or no bail round. Basically there was a table, and it went 0,1,5,10,20,40,65,80... etc. There are 10 questions in total. If you answer one question correctly, then you move up a point on the table (eg. 1 -> 5). Then, you can choose to bail or not to bail. If you bail, you get the points and then restart at 0. However, if you choose not to bail you continue with your score. The moment you answer a question wrongly, your score will be reset to 0. Yep. That round we did quite ok, coming in third. Haran screwed up a last question but it wasn't really worth much considering what he contributed later in the buzzer round :D So yep, RI team 1 came in first with 50 points (OMG IMBA!) and BPGH with 41, then us with 10 or 20 pts I think. Yep. So, finally the buzzer round!
Ok. The buzzer round had random questions but they were quite ok. We answered two or three questions out of the 16 questions. RI team 1 used the buzzer round and owned completely. The final scores were RI team 1 with 152 points. -.- then BPGH team 2 with 62, RI team 2 with 58 (damn!!), RGS team 1 with 52 points (yeah quite close as well) and BPGH team 1 with I forgot. >< So yeah, we got third. Which was like holy cow omg imba 0.o o_k?! But we could have answered a few questions which RI team 1 koped from us >< and one question which RGS took, which was the Calabi-Yau string theory question. Zzz. Bah nvm. We won first and third, which was important. Actually, I feel bad for kicking out RGS team 1, seeing that they weren't at full strength (if siyi was there she might have owned -__-)haha. But anyway. Well done to everyone! (:
Ok. Random stuff. Today Kevin Kwek's new lame jokes.
Kevin: Why is the solar system badly dressed?
Me: Why?
Kevin: Coz it has two belts but no pants -.- (kuiper belt, asteroid belt)
********
Kevin: If you wanted to make an intergalactic phone call, where should you go?
Me: Where?
Kevin: Crab nebula. Coz it's M1 (Messier catalogue object number 1)
Ok. So lame right. Haha. Thus I conclude the astrochallenge 2008 a fun and interesting event. Oh. Btw. We won binoculi (plural of binoculars? xD) and team 1's had eyepieces no fair ): but omg rjc won a meade 6 inch telescope worth more than 1000 bucks ahhhhhhhhhhhh >< lols.
Sigh. Next year it's just me and nathanael. And apparently he isn't very good yet, so needs some brushing up. And I'm like so noob. HOW WILL WE WIN NEXT YEAR OMG T_T
Maybe mattie should like just come. He's so imba that he owns everyone in everything. Haha. :D
K i think this post is long enough! Byeee (:

I've been sleeping almost the entire day omg.
Sigh. I have totally no motivation to do work or whatsoever. Chem is boring, maths is undoable (since i'm so stupid), same for bio. Needless to say, physics is too cheem for me. Haiz.
ARGH DAMMIT WHY THE BANANACUPCAKES IS LIFE DAMN TOUGH.

Ok. Today was quite a boring day. Woke up early in the morning for hockey match, which was postponed at 21 mins since it was raining. We were winning 2 - 0. Frankly, I must say that the standard of playing is like quite high now. Even Michael (if you happen to come across this, no offence) can play well now, probably due to experience. I think I'm not exactly a team player any more, having trained so much on my own and much less on my hockey skills, only on reflexes. Which kinda means I'm not taking hockey in JC anymore. ):
Anyway. I was like randoming around with some boy and girl - friends (note the extra large space and the glaring hyphen, heh) this afternoon at marina today then it was seriously weird. I realized all of them were like from top schools. Then all of them were interested in history, or more specifically, the theory of thinking. Then we started asking random questions like "to what extent do you agree that people who are slow are cute? Explain." Zzz. L5 had to include examples, the psychology behind them and of course, the definitions. The psychology was the hardest. There was a paradox when coming up with an answer for intellectuals to pretend to be dumb. Which is kinda scary. >< Okay anyway it was fun-ny.
Hmm. Looks like I won't fail my paper for ntu-nus afterall. I just checked some answers and have gotten at least 12 correct... so even if I get the rest wrong should be a positive. Haha. Yay. Getting a positive score is SOOO appealing :D
Bah. I still feel guilty. OMG I'M GETTING FAT TIME TO EXERCISE ):

Astrochallenge was okay I guess.
The MCQ round was screwed. I didn't expect so many random questions... I mean, what kind of question is it when they ask you when was the first asteroid discovered?! I studied what was the asteroid, it's composition, size and orbit but wtf the discovery date? >< damn. 1 Ceres. Discovered in I still don't know when ): But the only question that made me happy was asking on which of these objects do not have a resonance with neptune and are part of the kuiper belt, apart from plutinos? Yay. I was studying it before I went to sleep at 2 last night, heheh. So yeah, the answer was cubewanos. So weird ): but who cares when huiyao and wenjie got it WRONG. xD
Then the data response round.. I opted to be the reserve since I suck at physics. Haha. So yeah apparently it was quite tough. Bleh.
OMG! The project round! RI team 1 WON IT. Haha. That's the only result we know, sadly. Congratulations! Although I would say they used abit too much fanciful stuff, I think they really put in a lot of effort and a job well done. Ours was a disaster though (btw if you haven't realized there were 2 teams, and I'm in team 2) but basically I think we did fine with the explanation. Haha.
Anyway, wenjie was being super random and was like pointing at stacey and going "OMG red specks!" Then we were like wth? 0.o and weird jokes and stuff. Haha. Then Kevin kwek, king of lame jokes, came up with this joke that made huiyao hyperventilate more than the randomness of "red specks". The joke went...
Kevin: What happens when Kwa Jie Hao gets sars?
Huiyao: What?
Kevin: Kwasars! (quasars!)
xD
Then after that went out for dinner with family. Went to dinner at newton, and I'm like so freaking guilty of spending 40 bucks for dinner. >< apparently my family don't care. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOO why spend so much ):
Sheesh. Anyway, there was this blind man at newton playing the guitar and singing at the same time. Yeah. He was really good. As in, the able-to-become-a-professional kind of good. I feel really sad for him. I wouldn't call it pity, but more of admiration. It must be tough for him... being able to play so well yet ostracized due to his disability. Sometimes life can just be cruel. But then again, if I were him, I wouldn't donate to myself. Because I'm a minimalist, haha. In the end I donated 2 bucks to him, more for his effort rather than pity. Life just isn't fair for some people. We should be more considerate for them sometimes. Yep (:

Other than spending almost my entire day completing the astrochallenge project, I think today was ok.
I don't even think I want to wear the space suit. It looks ridiculous. And makes me look like a boxhead (yes mattie, don't laugh). =X I don't see why it should constitute so little percentage when we spend the most time on it! Then again, I suppose our project looks damn screwed. I think it'll be a good laugh. Therefore, I should mug more now. TOP 10. MUST GET TOP 10.
Bleh. Have a nice life guys. Coz mine sucks for now ):

Imperfection is perfection.
Somehow, I just think that way now. Maybe it's just because I'm some really useless person who's tired of achieving perfection. But I have been thinking over and over, and I wonder why pieces of art can be perfect yet imperfect? More importantly, why things can never be perfect in many people. I suppose it's each person's point of view.
If we were meant to be perfect, then why do roses have thorns? (haha ok this is quite a useful example) We can only appreciate something longer in imperfection and not perfection. Well, I suppose it's only because of the fact that there is a challenge to better that imperfection that makes it perfect. Nature is a perfect example of imperfection achieving perfection.
Anyway. I'm like bored. It's homework... ):
HELL. I just hate holiday homework! KFC U =/

Ok I've been having reeeeally weird dreams.
Yeah. ):
Last night I dreamt that I was walking on the street when I met Fiona. No. Not that one. I'm talking about my p6 teacher. Yes. The relieve teacher that came from RG/RJ. Also known as the one that lingfei asked her hp no. from. xD LOL. Yeah I dreamt that I met her then she was like, teaching in some other random school and we sat down and talked as adults. Sheesh. And then I can't remember what happened but I woke up feeling disgusted. Utterly random.
Then today basically all I did was meet up for the astrochallenge project. Sigh. Ok not much to talk about. But then I saw linsen and GL at the leadership camp thingey and I feel like, super hurt again. I just can't seem to erase it out of my mind, all this stupid stuff going around me. What do I want to achieve out of being sad about these things? Nothing. Yet I still feel sad. Sigh.
And then I went to a bookstore after the meeting. Then I saw this book called "A bad boy can be good for a girl". I was like, reading the synopsis when I saw the girl's name was Nicolette. I was like laughing like crap. xD Haha no offence. I wonder which bad boy became good...? :D too bad I couldn't read it. Was plastic wrapped. ): I just spent my time reading this book called Ghost Ship. Was quite childish but I'm okay with it. Haha. Damn I wonder if I should have read twilight instead. Seems enticing. But hey. The synopsis just sucked. Lol.
Ok. I shall go now. Bye!

OMG SO TOUCHING I FINALLY FINISHED THE DRAMAAAAAAAAA.
*SNIFF!!*
Haha. In the end it was so nice. No spoilers! :D I wonder what happened to cao mei though :0 who did she end up with? Did she like, fight with qiao and zhuzhu over ah jie xD Omg so cool. LALALALALALALA :D Xiao Jie totally don't deserve Peipei lah. ): Z0 mean. Bleh. But who cares! It's over, means its............. baaaaaaaaaack to work.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ):
On a side note, I realized I'm so weird. Two things. I realize that in the movies it's the concepts that make me cry and not the people... which is probably vice versa for the lot of you! And uh, secondly, I realize that I can actually visualize what's happening just by listening to the sound effects. Which is like O-M-GEE freakky! Haha. Nvmnvm I SHALL DO WORK NOW!
Oh yeah. I just read about entropy. Ok. I have a few questions. If the second law of thermodynamics (which is derived from entropy) can justify the arrow of time, then why can't you unify entropy with chemical equations? Some chemical reactions are symmetrical, meaning they can go forward as well as revert back, thus the arrow of time is not particularly defined. BLEH. ENTROPY IS SO CONFUSING SINCE I'M NOT A TANG HUIYAO. OK WRONG EXAMPLE... TOO WEAK. xD Maybe a wenjie or a Tjeng. Haha.
Ok. THAT'S IT. WORK!!! >:(

I'm in the city now, at starbucks. The cafe is closed, the chairs have been tied to the tables, and I'm the only one on the street. A wind blows as I type furiously onto this computer.
Yes. It's 12am.
And I feel like crying.
I FINALLY FINISHED MY RE PROJECT!!!!!! OMG.
I've done the impossible - RE in 6 days.
Granted, it isn't exactly the most perfect project, but considering the time given I think it is really good.
Although I think I won't ever do projects with any of them anymore, I feel that they have given me an important lesson.
When things go wrong, never leave it to them. Always make sure that everything is ready and done before the deadline. If in doubt, do things yourself. Thanks guys. No. No sarcasm. I mean that. Really. If it weren't for you guys I would never have realized how being really pangseh-ed at the last minute felt. So thanks.
I just wish it isn't so lonely here though.
I can even hear the teardrops on the table.
